The Howell Library needed a new site to that was easier to manage and showcased the wide variety of services offered by the library. We interviewed key user groups and devised a new organization that made it easier for library patrons to find the information they are looking for. The new site features a homepage events calendar, the latest arrivals and a blog featuring picks from the dedicated staff.

The Ann Arbor YMCA was one of the first to launch the new national brand standards for the Y. Boxcar Studio worked with the local chapter to interpret the new standards, refine the organization to bring critical information forward, and incorporate the new graphic standards into a fresh, dynamic new design for their website.

An ethereal author approached us inquiring about a simple website to promote a new book she was working on with a ghost writer. As a Scottish noblewoman in her breathing days, she wanted a site that captured her homeland and the mysterious realm in which she now resides. We designed a custom WordPress theme and are now working with Astral Road Media in the next step of finding an audience.

Mackinac Island's oldest hotel needed to capture some of the "Island Magic" with a new website to showcase it's unique architecture and stunning views of the lake. The staff were looking for something clean and modern with a nod to the hotel's Victorian roots.

The Scattergood Program for the Applied Ethics of Behavioral Healthcare is dedicated to applied research and scholarship in all areas of behavioral healthcare ethics. Housed at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Bioethics, the ScattergoodEthics Program is a regional and national effort that welcomes all those active in the field of behavioral healthcare.

Arbor Environmental Alliance is founded on the principles of good stewardship of the earth and her resources as well as the commitment to help others uphold these principles. We helped the start-up company conceive and launch a stunning new website and developed an effective search engine campaign.

We design and developed and a new web site for Michigan's own Sleeping Bear Press to serve as a companion to the Discover the World series of children's books. The new website established an online presence for the series by providing a professionally designed, interactive destination that highlights facts and information about the books via an author question and answer system, blog, mapping features and newsletter signup.

The Art Center's annual premiere event needed a fresh, new design that reflected the center's brand, be at once be both fun and elegant, and be flexible enough to accommodate the new Wine Fest creative every year. We provided a new design, plus a new Drupal content management system to allow them to quickly and easily update their content every year and integrate each future Wine Fest's look and feel.

Ridefix is an online community designed to help you diagnose problems with your car and connect with other car enthusiasts. We worked closely with the developer to help organize the wealth of information on the site and develop a flexible design which would be fed almost exclusively with dynamic content. Ridefix was able to complete and launch the website in-house from page templates and styling furnished by Boxcar Studio.

We worked with the national book retailer to launch their first-ever live webcast events - an in-store performance with indie-pop, singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, and a fan discussion forum for Twilight Series New Moon with actors from the film. The pages hosted streaming live video and leveraged Facebook's Stream Box so fans could chat during the events.

We designed and developed two sites for the Ann Arbor-based non-profit center, one for the main Center for Eating Disorders web page, and another for Bodywise, a recovery program for binge eating. The new sites provided visitors web-based destinations highlighting the organization's solutions and services in a user-friendly and visually clean format.

The rainwater project seeks to reduce erosion and pollution in Millers Creek caused by urban rainwater runoff and to measure the effectiveness of using residential techniques for capturing rainwater. The project managers needed a quick site to promote and provide information about this 4-year project.

This new, Drupal-based website has provided Washtenaw Community College with an online companion to their nationally syndicated CareerFocus Magazine that features supplemental content such as career-related videos, news and informational resources. What's more, we developed a method for community colleges across the country to quickly and easily brand and customize the website to fit their own markets.

Following an initial exploratory phase - including benchmarking, staff/visitor surveys and market research - this new design and rebranding was produced for MBGNA. University staff then implemented the website in-house from page templates and styling furnished by Boxcar Studio.
